Overview

The Proponent (C & E Choimes Superannuation Fund Pty Ltd, S & H Choimes Superannuation Fund Pty Ltd and T & J M2 Investment Holdings Pty Ltd ATF T & J M2 Investment Holdings Trust) is seeking to rezone land located on Port Wakefield Road and Summer Road at Waterloo Corner and Bolivar (Affected Area) from Deferred Urban to Employment.

The Affected Area is strategically located on a major transport route between Gepps Cross and the Adelaide Plains. The Affected Area is in a growing residential area and therefore employment opportunities are important to unlock investment and stimulate growth. This rezoning is proposed to support the development of employment uses such as retail showrooms and service trade premises, supporting additional economic and employment growth in the north of Adelaide.

Outcomes

The 1113-1131 Port Wakefield Road, Employment Land Code Amendment has now been finalised and adopted by the Minister for Planning.

A change was made to the draft Code Amendment following feedback received which included the addition of a Concept Plan.
