Code Amendment Type Third Party Code Amendment
Overview

The Erwin Vogt Foundation Inc. is seeking to rezone land which currently comprises its existing ‘ Aldersgate Residential Aged Care Facility’  in Felixstow to facilitate redevelopment of the site for an integrated community of diverse individual and shared experiences. A place for all ages and all walks of life. Where participation and interaction are facilitated by inspiring spaces and engaging design. Where an innovative mix of residence, community partnerships and holistic healthcare services enrich life in new ways.

The Affected Area comprises approximately 2.3 hectares of land that is currently zoned General Neighbourhood and is bound by O.G Road, Turner Street and Aldersgate Drive. The Affected Area includes the State Heritage listed ‘Forsyth House,’ a former residential house which will be preserved and adaptively used on the site.

This rezoning will unlock a large, consolidated strategic land parcel to provide an opportunity for increased housing diversity with affordable housing options and the opportunity for new medical, allied health and educational offerings, building upon the existing City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peter’s key infrastructure assets adjoining the site of Payneham Library, Payneham Memorial Swimming Centre and Patterson Reserve.
