Overview

The Glenside Urban Corridor (Living) Code Amendment has now been finalised, altered and adopted by the Minister for Planning.

The Code Amendment led by Cedar Woods, the designated entity, sought to increase permissible building heights from 8 to 20 levels within the Glenside development precinct, relating to an allotment covering approximately 9,000m² of land adjacent to a large, landscaped reserve. The Glenside development is positioned on the corner of Fullarton and Greenhill Roads.

The adopted height increase will support the development of additional housing and housing choice as well as contributing to strategic growth targets, including those supporting strategic infill development along key urban corridors. Impacts resulting from increased building heights will be appropriate managed through the application of relevant policies in the Planning and Design Code, delivering good design outcomes ensuring increased heights, together with podium features, open space and setbacks are appropriately incorporated into the Glenside Development.
