About this document

Use this form to certify that a provisionally approved impact assessed development (not Restricted) is compliant with the Building Rules.

The Minister for Planning is responsible for issuing a Provisional Development Authorisation for an impact assessed development. Impact assessed development is the highest and most rigorous level of development assessment in South Australia and is reserved for projects of state significance.

Prior to issuing a final Development Authorisation, the Minister must have regard to the Building Rules (set out by the National Construction Code, regulations under the PDI Act and Ministerial building standards).

This form should be used by an accredited building professional, to certify that the provisionally approved development is compliant with the Building Rules. The form should include details of the development, the certifier details, and any recommended Conditions and Advisory Notes for the Minister’s consideration.

The form should be submitted to the Minister via email DTI.CrownImpactAssessment@sa.gov.au. The Minister will review the form (and certified plans), and if consistent with the provisionally approved plans, issue a final Development Authorisation for each stage and / or element of the development.
