Overview

The Designated Entity (N Mercurio and J Rosa) is consulting on a Code Amendment to rezone the Affected Area from the Rural Zone to the Township Zone.

The Affected Area is located within the Rural Zone, and is contiguous with its neighbouring residential areas within the Watervale township. The Affected Area, bounded by Sheoak Road, Popes Hill Road, the Riesling Trail and small watercourse, is proposed for low-density residential sized allotments with site areas greater than 1500m2. The balance of the land (south of the watercourse) is to be retained for rural purposes and within the Rural Zone.

The Code Amendment seeks to rezone the Affected Area to the Township Zone which will facilitate low-density housing consistent with the local residential allotments located within the Watervale township.
