Overview

This rezoning process was commenced as a Development Plan Amendment (DPA) under the old planning system. The intent of the rezoning will be transitioned directly into the Planning and Design Code as a Code Amendment.

The focus of the DPA is to rezone the existing Urban Employment Zone in Kilkenny, north of the railway line. The affected area is proposed to be rezoned to facilitate residential and mixed use development.

The draft DPA considered preferred building heights, transport, environmental noise, stormwater management, infrastructure and public open space.
