Consultation now open for the Kangaroo Island Regional Plan

The State Planning Commission has released the draft Kangaroo Island Regional Plan (KIRP) for a 12-week public consultation period and want to hear from community, councils and industry on how we prepare for future growth.

To support the launch of the KIRP, Planning and Land Use Services (PLUS) has developed Australia’s first 100% digital, dynamic, and interactive Regional Planning Portal.

The KIRP is the first of seven new regional plans for South Australia, to be developed in the innovative platform. It will allow for real-time updates which will ensure the plan remains contemporary and provides users easy access to the regional plans via the accessible interface.

Consultation now closed for the Greater Adelaide Regional Plan Discussion Paper

The 12-week engagement period for the Greater Adelaide Regional Plan Discussion Paper has now ended.

All submissions and feedback received during the Discussion Paper consultation are now being reviewed and considered prior to the creation of the draft Greater Adelaide Regional Plan in 2024.

All written submissions will be progressively made publicly available via the PlanSA portal as they are reviewed.

A What We Heard Report (PDF, 277 KB) outlining the themes of feedback received during engagement is now available to read.

A detailed analysis of survey responses and YourSAy map pins will be incorporated within the Greater Adelaide Regional Plan Discussion Paper Engagement Report, anticipated for release in early-2024.

The draft Greater Adelaide Regional Plan will be released for consultation late-2024. This will provide the community with an opportunity to review and provide feedback on the direction of the draft plan before endorsement and implementation.
