Aboriginal community structure plans contain the framework for land-use planning and development considerations in South Australia's Aboriginal communities.
They provide each community and the land-holding authority with a guide to future growth and development, particularly housing, infrastructure and other integrated development by communities and state government agencies. The plans also guide the assessment of development proposals by the State Commission Assessment Panel (SCAP).
Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands community structure plans
The people known as Anangu Pitjantjatjara hold title to, manage and control the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, which are vested under the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Land Rights Act 1981. The land-holding authority for the APY Lands is the APY Executive Board, which consists of elected members from across the APY Lands.

Aboriginal Land Trust community plans
The Aboriginal Lands Trust (ALT) is a statutory authority established under the Aboriginal Lands Trust Act 1966. The ALT holds title to Aboriginal lands in South Australia vested under the Act and arranges management and control of the lands.
